Sales Qualified Lead (SQL)
A Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) is a lead that has been vetted as ready for direct sales engagement, having shown both a good fit and clear buying intent.
An SQL is typically an MQL that has crossed the line from interested to ready to talk. Sales takes ownership and works it toward a deal.
A clean handoff from MQL to SQL prevents good leads from stalling in the gap between marketing and sales.
